According to reports, 24-year-old Wang Chang stands at 1.81 meters tall and is a men’s doubles player from Zhejiang. He is known for his fast, fluid movements at the net and his delicate techniques. During his youth competitions, Wang’s men’s doubles partner was Di Zijian. The two reached the finals of both the Asian Youth Championships and the World Youth Championships in 2019, but lost to the Indonesian pair Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin, finishing as runners-up. Later, Di Zijian was removed from the national team for personal reasons, and Wang was paired with Liang Weikeng.
Since their partnership, Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng have achieved an international match win rate of over 75% for three consecutive years in 2022, 2023, and 2024, securing numerous accolades including the championship titles at the 2023 China Open, the 2023 China Masters, the 2024 Malaysia Open, and the 2024 Asian Championships. They have quickly risen to become another Chinese men’s doubles pair to reach the world number one ranking after Liu Yu Chen and Li Junhui.
