[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors are reportedly considering former Lakers swingman Stanley Johnson for a workout as part of their offseason roster evaluation.
Alongside Johnson, the Warriors are assessing other NBA veterans, including Will Barton, Jaylen Nowell, and Derrick Favors, for potential roster spots.
Among these options, Johnson, a versatile 27-year-old combo forward who can contribute on both ends of the floor, may align best with the Warriors’ needs.
He had a productive season with the Lakers in 2021-22, starting 27 games and averaging 6.7 points and 3.2 rebounds in 22.8 minutes per game.
While the Warriors might consider adding a seven-footer to their roster, they have also been exploring players familiar with their system.
