[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors may be ready to let go of any lingering feelings about 2023.
According to ESPN’s Kendra Andrews, the Warriors are working out free agent wing Troy Brown Jr. this week, alongside other veteran players. At 6-foot-7, Brown brings versatility, playing both shooting guard and small forward.
Last season, he split time between the Timberwolves and Pistons, but notably played for the Lakers in 2022-23, starting 45 regular-season games and playing some rotation minutes when the Lakers eliminated the Warriors in the playoffs.
Brown’s stats don’t jump off the page—he averaged 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 14 minutes per game last year—but he’s a career 35.1% three-point shooter with defensive potential and is just 25 years old. With two partial non-guaranteed contract spots available, the Warriors could potentially sign both Brown and another recently linked player.
