[Saba Sports News] Many believe LeBron James will stay with the Los Angeles Lakers next season, but one Western Conference team is reportedly trying to change his mind.
According to Evan Sidery of Forbes, the Phoenix Suns plan to pursue LeBron this offseason. The Suns are hosting a workout for LeBron’s son, Bronny James, ahead of the NBA Draft, even though they only have the No. 22 overall pick.
The Suns aim to add LeBron to their star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal. For this to happen, LeBron would need to decline his $51.4 million player option for next season and take significantly less money to sign with Phoenix, making the move unlikely.
Bronny James is not considered a strong NBA prospect, and teams interested in him may be doing so to lure LeBron. The Suns might be one of those teams.
While LeBron hasn’t made any decisions about his future, his agent Rich Paul may have hinted at their current stance on Friday.
