[Saba Sports News] In December 2023, Finnish F1 driver Valtteri Bottas announced on social media that his “nude charity calendar” project was a huge success, with expected fundraising totals around $150,000. The project originated from a photography collaboration between Bottas and photographer Paul Ripke, aimed at raising funds for the Movember charity campaign. The first edition of the nude calendar had a total of 10,000 copies, which quickly sold out on www.bottass.com and prompted additional printing. When discussing the reason for the nude calendar, Bottas expressed his hope that fans would focus on men’s health issues and not feel shy about their bodies. However, as Bottas returns to the Mercedes F1 team as a reserve driver, team CEO Toto Wolff made it clear that he would prohibit Bottas from continuing to release the nude calendar for the sake of the team’s image, although his mullet hairstyle can remain.
