Sports News] In a La Liga match just last week, Sevilla emerged triumphant with
a 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano. However, an unexpected incident occurred during
the game. A young Rayo Vallecano fan touched the buttocks of Sevilla player
Lucas Ocampos, causing him great disgust. The game was temporarily suspended
for several minutes in response. Subsequently, both Sevilla Club and Ocampos
expressed their anger and filed complaints. Following this, the Spanish
Anti-Violence and Anti-Racism Committee recommended a 6,000 euro fine and a
one-year ban from attending matches for the underage fan involved. Ocampos
joined Sevilla in the summer of 2019 and played a crucial role in helping the
team secure the 2019-20 Europa League championship. He was also recognized for his
outstanding performance by being selected for the Europa League Best Team. The
editor finds this behavior highly inappropriate. Despite being a minor, the
young fan should be held accountable for his actions. Hence, the editor
believes that the punishment handed out by the relevant authorities is
appropriate and serves as a necessary warning.
