[Saba Sports News] Zion Williamson is gearing up for a comeback season. In an interview with Will Guillory of The Athletic, the New Orleans Pelicans star declared he’s on a “vengeance” mission—not against anyone specific, but for himself.
Williamson, 24, has been putting in twice-daily workouts this offseason and has reportedly improved his relationship with the Pelicans. Despite injuries and weight issues throughout his career, he took a positive step last season, playing a career-high 70 games and averaging 22.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, though it ended with a hamstring injury.
Recent photos show Williamson looking leaner, and reports suggest he’s at a healthier weight. Entering his sixth NBA season, he’s clearly focused on reaching his full potential.
