“KD’s trash-talking is more like, ‘I’m just a better hooper,’ and you can’t help but respect it,” Williamson explained. He also highlighted Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards, who is more direct, and Dallas’ Kyrie Irving, who doesn’t start trash talk but elevates his game when provoked.
Williamson, often criticized for his fitness, has faced his own challenges, missing the 2021-22 season and playing just 29 games last year due to injuries. Despite the criticism, Zion remains focused on the game and his upcoming season.
