Sports News] UEFA has recently reached a comprehensive final settlement with
Liverpool fans represented by Pogust Goodhead and Bingham Long regarding the
riots that took place during the 2022 Champions League final. Prior to the
final, significant disturbances occurred outside the stadium. UEFA has since
taken various measures, including implementing recommendations from an
independent review and establishing a special refund scheme. Furthermore, UEFA
has made a commitment to provide compensation to Liverpool fans represented by
Pogust Goodhead and Bingham Long in recognition of the difficulties and
challenges they have faced. The terms of the settlement will remain
confidential, and the agreement does not imply any admission of liability. UEFA
is pleased that both parties have reached a common position and hopes that this
settlement will bring closure to the fans. UEFA will refrain from making
further comments on the matter.
