[Saba Sports News] Bojan Bogdanovic has quickly endeared himself to Knicks supporters. In his first interaction with the media since joining the Knicks through a pre-trade deadline deal, the seasoned forward made an impression by subtly jabbing his former team, the Brooklyn Nets.
“I was a Net,” Bogdanovic declared, “But all my friends in New York are Knicks fans.” His cool detachment was accentuated by his choice of attire, a Louis Vuitton jacket, as he delivered this memorable quip.
The 34-year-old forward, who initiated his NBA journey with the Nets from 2014 to 2017, seems keen on reigniting the once fervent Knicks-Nets rivalry, albeit its intensity has waned since the departures of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving from Brooklyn. Aside from the off-court banter, Bogdanovic is expected to significantly boost the Knicks on the court.
Having averaged over 20 points per game with the Detroit Pistons this season, his scoring prowess off the bench will be crucial as the Knicks aim for a championship run.
