[Saba Sports News] The Milwaukee Bucks are enhancing their lineup for the playoff push by signing veteran forward Danilo Gallinari for the remainder of the season.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Gallinari, who also garnered interest from the Cavaliers, Clippers, and Bulls, chose the Bucks for a better opportunity at playing time, particularly under his former coach Doc Rivers in Milwaukee. Although Gallinari’s peak performance may be behind him, he remains a valuable asset, contributing an average of 7.3 points over 14.8 minutes per game this season with the Wizards and Pistons. Over his career, he has maintained a 15.2 points per game average.
Even at 35, Gallinari has demonstrated his three-point shooting skills, with a 35.5 percent success rate from beyond the arc this season.
As the Bucks, currently positioned at 35-20 just before the All-Star break, aim for a favorable playoff seeding, they continue to prioritize adding experienced players to their squad for a potential deep postseason journey.
