[Saba Sports News] Dwight Howard continues his international basketball journey, aiming to attract attention from NBA teams. Earlier this week it was reported that Howard plans to join the Strong Group, a professional team from the Philippines competing in the annual Dubai International Basketball Championship. This year, the two-week international tournament is scheduled from January 19 to January 28.
Last season, Howard played for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan’s T1 League. Despite the league’s lower competition level compared to the NBA, Howard quickly made a significant impact, posting impressive statistics.
At 38 years old, Howard still harbors aspirations to return to the NBA. He was reportedly considered by a notable NBA team before the current season but ultimately did not secure a contract.
In his last NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers (2021-22), Howard maintained a decent level of performance, averaging 6.2 points and 5.9 rebounds in just 16.2 minutes per game.
