[Saba Sports News] The BCCI recently held its first Naman Awards since the COVID-19 pandemic on January 23 in Hyderabad, drawing numerous current and former cricketers. A highlight of the ceremony was a musical performance by ex-India captain Sunil Gavaskar and current star batter Jemimah Rodrigues.
Known for her musical talent, Jemimah, along with Gavaskar, surprised many with their duet, “Kya Hua Tera Waada” from the film “Hum Kisise Kum Nahi.” Gavaskar, known more for his cricket and commentary, showcased his singing skills, leaving fans delighted.
Rodrigues posted a video of this performance on her ‘X’ social media platform, showing them singing and playing guitar, and ended with the audience asking for an encore, to which Gavaskar humorously exited the stage. Jemimah expressed her disbelief and excitement about performing with Gavaskar in her post, mentioning it was his idea to sing together.
