[Saba Sports News] The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the newly consecrated Ram Temple in Ayodhya was a dazzling event, attended by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and South Indian film icon Rajinikanth. This grand ceremony, held on January 22, saw these two legends alongside other renowned personalities, adding to the event’s glamour and significance. The event, celebrated with much fanfare, also had Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the rituals.
Tendulkar, expressing his delight, shared a moment from the ceremony with Rajinikanth, highlighting the blend of cricket and cinema at this historic event. He expressed his admiration for the temple’s architecture and was thankful for receiving blessings at the site.
Several cricketing stars, including Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Ravichandran Ashwin, were invited to the ceremony. However, due to his commitment to the Indian team’s preparations for the upcoming Test against England in Hyderabad, Kohli was unable to attend. His focus on the series was seen as the primary reason for missing this prestigious event.
MS Dhoni, known for his participation in Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations, also did not attend the Ram Temple inauguration. The absence of Dhoni, Kohli, and Ashwin, particularly noted by fans in Tamil Nadu, was a talking point, considering their stature and the event’s importance.
