[Saba Sports News] Recently, several Tunisian
media outlets reported that Wadi, the current chairman of the Tunisian Football
Association, has been detained by the police on allegations of accepting
bribes. This is not the first time Wadi has been involved in a scandal. Last
year, he was implicated in a controversy where domestic clubs accused him of
intentionally misleading the Court of Arbitration for Sport, aiming to obstruct
the judgment process and causing a crisis within Tunisian football. In the
previous year’s World Cup held in Qatar, Tunisia was placed in Group D and finished
in third position with one win, one draw, and one loss.
