[Saba Sports News] According to reports from
British media, there are indications that Ford, the sponsor of Red Bull Racing,
is planning to terminate its cooperation with the team following the sexual
harassment scandal involving Red Bull Racing team leader Christian Horner. It
is stated that Ford and Red Bull signed a cooperation agreement in January 2023
to establish a technical partnership, which includes a clause allowing Ford to
end the cooperation if it deems it detrimental to its broader brand
development. With the investigation into Horner’s inappropriate behavior, Ford
may take action to terminate the partnership. In such a scenario, both Red Bull
and Toro Rosso would lose their power unit supplier, as Honda, their current
partner, has already announced its intention to switch to Aston Martin in 2026.
However, if Horner is cleared of any violations, Ford will continue the
cooperation with Red Bull Racing. Ford is currently making plans to enter
Formula 1 after the regulations undergo an overhaul in 2026, and they have a
technical collaboration with Red Bull Powertrain to provide power units for Red
Bull and Toro Rosso.
