He hinted that the so-called “Macarena” rear wing could make its comeback as early as this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix. During the Belgian Grand Prix, Vaché stated that Red Bull had resolved the rear wing fault: “This mechanical issue surfaced after our Silverstone crash. We have fixed it. We are working to verify its complete reliability before refitting it to the car, and it should be ready for Budapest.” When pressed on whether the actuation mechanism was the root of the trouble, Vaché replied: “Yes, that is part of it. I do not wish to detail our modifications precisely, as this element contributes to the wing’s performance edge. Still, we are taking this matter extremely seriously. We have held internal talks with the FIA, given that guaranteeing car safety falls under our responsibility. We will reinforce this component, and you will see the rear wing return to competition very soon.”
