[Saba Sports News] Andrew Wiggins’ future with the Golden State Warriors is under speculation after his second leave of absence in consecutive years.
Dan Dibley, a Bay Area radio host on 95.7 The Game’s “Willard & Dibs,” expressed a bleak outlook, suggesting that Wiggins might not return to the Warriors. He pointed out that Wiggins’ absence, described by the team as “excused,” follows a period last season where he was away for personal reasons, later attributed to his father’s health.
Despite Wiggins’ key role in the Warriors’ 2022 championship run, his performance has reportedly not been the same since his previous leave, with his scoring average dropping to a career-low this season. With three years remaining on his contract after this season, there’s speculation around his future, especially amid recent trade rumors.
