[Saba Sports News] Former England cricket star Andrew Flintoff is preparing for his television comeback, more than a year after a harrowing accident during Top Gear filming left him with broken ribs, facial injuries, and visible scars.
The 46-year-old, once among England’s leading wicket-takers and run-scorers, is reportedly filming a second season of his BBC reality show, Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams. Since the accident, Flintoff has largely stayed out of the public eye, focusing on his recovery.
Recently, photos from a trip to Sri Lanka showed Flintoff still bearing scars from the accident over a year later, during which he met members of the Lancashire Cricket Academy.
According to a source speaking to The Sun, Flintoff’s recovery progress brings reassurance to his fans, indicating that he’s healing well and returning to his passions for sport and television. Despite some scarring, Flintoff’s appearance reflects significant improvement since his last public appearance playing cricket.
Flintoff’s Field of Dreams series follows him back to his hometown of Preston as he selects promising young cricketers. The show also takes him to India, where cricket enjoys immense recognition and respect.
