[Saba Sports News] Nasser AI-Khelaifi, Chairman of French Ligue 1 Paris Saint-Germain and Executive Committee Chairman of the European Club Association, recently announced that Serie A team Juventus has applied to rejoin the ECA, signifying its departure from the UEFA Champions League. Nasser welcomed Juventus back to the ECA, praising the club’s rich history and expressing pride in their return. With Juventus exiting, only two La Liga teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona, remain in the UEFA Super League. Initially formed by 12 elite clubs, the European Super League faced opposition leading to the withdrawal of several teams. The departure of these teams has significantly diminished the league’s size and influence, leaving Real Madrid and Barcelona as the sole representatives.
