[Saba Sports News] The spotlight was on the first round of the Indonesian Badminton Open, where South Korean badminton prodigy An Se Young faced Japanese prodigy Miyazaki Tomoka. After a fierce battle between these young stars, An Se Young emerged victorious in three consecutive games. An Se Young acknowledged Miyazaki Tomoka’s skills and confidence, stating that at her age, she herself lacked the same level of confidence. An Se Young believes that Miyazaki Tomoka will become a top figure in the future. Miyazaki Tomoka, a rising star from Japan born in 2006, gained recognition at a young age by winning the women’s singles championship at the 2022 World Youth Badminton Championships. She became the fourth Japanese player in history to achieve this feat. Her outstanding performance has garnered widespread attention, thanks to her flexible movement, excellent ball control, and strong offensive awareness.
