[Saba Sports News] To mark the introduction of new regulations for the 2026 season, the FIA has recently made an announcement. It unveiled the initial set of images showcasing the appearance of the new Formula One car for 2026. The car will incorporate active aerodynamics and be 30kg lighter than the current F1 models. It will also be shorter and narrower, aligning with the concept of new power units and the mandatory use of fully sustainable fuels. Additionally, while retaining the 18-inch wheel size, both the front and rear wheels have been reduced in width to varying degrees. Notably, the use of partially flat floors and low-power diffuser aims to reduce ground effect without compromising performance by relying excessively on ultra-stiffness and low ride height settings. These changes are expected to enhance the viewing experience and competitiveness of the sport, while prioritizing environmental protection and sustainability. While this is favorable for the audience, the teams face challenges in developing new technologies and dealing with issues such as costs and competition within the fleet.
