[Saba Sports News] Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Pop Out’ concert on Juneteenth in Los Angeles drew multiple NBA stars, including former MVPs LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden.
The NBA stars enjoyed the event, with Westbrook and DeRozan even joining Lamar on stage to dance during the performance of ‘Not Like Us,’ Lamar’s recent Billboard-topping Drake diss.
The concert, one of the most anticipated of the year, marked Lamar’s first public appearance since his summer diss war with Drake, solidifying his status as a major hip-hop star. Kendrick’s diss tracks have been popular among NBA players, frequently played during the NBA Playoffs.
LeBron James, a close friend of Drake, has publicly enjoyed many of the disses against the rapper. As the leading star of Los Angeles’ biggest NBA team, his attendance was expected. Other stars like Harden, Westbrook, and DeRozan are LA natives.
Many active Bulls players also attended, including 2024 Most Improved Player finalist Coby White and sophomore Dalen Terry.
