[Saba Sports News] The Milwaukee Bucks’ roster may see significant changes this summer.
According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Bucks sharpshooter Malik Beasley is unlikely to return next season. Beasley, who signed a one-year veteran’s minimum deal with Milwaukee last summer, may now seek a contract worth the full mid-level exception (around $13 million annually).
Beasley, 27, had a strong season with the Bucks, serving as their regular starting shooting guard. He led the team with 224 total three-pointers and shot 41.3% from beyond the arc, even participating in the Three Point Contest at NBA All-Star Weekend. Despite a few low points, Beasley’s performance set him up well for free agency.
As a second-apron luxury-tax team, the Bucks cannot use the mid-level exception, making Beasley’s departure almost certain. Additionally, another veteran Buck might be traded, indicating further changes to Milwaukee’s starting lineup.
