During the European Championship group match between Scotland and Hungary, Varga collided with Scottish goalkeeper Angus Gunn, resulting in him falling unconscious. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital in Stuttgart for treatment and was subsequently hospitalized. Multiple facial fractures were confirmed. A few days ago, the Hungarian Football Association released an official statement stating that Varga underwent a successful surgical procedure on Monday afternoon local time. The operating doctor mentioned that the surgery was uncomplicated, and Varga is expected to be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday local time.
