[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, England’s central defender Marc Guehi received a painkiller injection at halftime due to a shoulder injury during the match against Slovakia and played the entire game. Reports suggest that during the first half of the match against Slovakia, Guehi sustained a shoulder injury after colliding with the opponent’s forward, Ddvid Strelec, and received on-field treatment. It is reported that Guehi was determined to complete the game, so he received further treatment during halftime, including a painkiller injection. Despite feeling extremely uncomfortable, Guehi finished the 120-minute game. However, Guehi received his second yellow card of the tournament in the match against Slovakia, which means he will miss the quarter-finals between England and Switzerland. Guehi is expected to recover in time for the potential semi-finals next week, with Ezri Konsa, Lewis Dunk, and Joe Gomez being among the options to replace him against Switzerland.
