[Saba Sports News] Samir Shaoud, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), has recently been embroiled in a romantic scandal. He stayed at a New York hotel alongside Camila Andrade, a Brazilian businesswoman from the fitness industry. Camila checked into the Hyatt Grand Central New York between June 2 and June 10, with a total accommodation bill of 59,424 Brazilian reais (equivalent to roughly $11,600). On June 3, she was spotted dining with Shaoud at a restaurant in Manhattan. The pair left the venue in the rental vehicle that Shaoud used throughout his stay in New York. While Camila remained in New York enjoying the city, Shaoud flew back to Brazil on June 8 to watch the women’s international fixture between Brazil and the United States at Arena Castelão in Fortaleza. Shaoud, who has been married for two decades, then departed Brazil for Mexico City to meet his wife Natalia, and the couple watched the World Cup opening match on June 11. The businesswoman Camila left New York one day prior to the opening game.
The editor believes that this is not the first time a woman close to Shaoud has joined him on international trips tied to his official duties. Last December, internet celebrity and pharmacist Tata Barcelos flew from Rio de Janeiro to Doha, Qatar, to attend the Club World Cup match between Flamengo and Paris Saint-Germain.
