[Saba Sports News] Aston Martin F1 Team has announced the signing of Ferrari’s technical director, Enrico Cardile, who will serve as the team’s chief technical officer. This appointment places him above Aston Martin’s current technical director, Dan Fallows. The team owner, Lawrence Stroll, emphasized the need to strengthen the technical leadership team ahead of the major rule changes in 2026 and expressed satisfaction in attracting top-tier talent. Some media speculate that Ferrari’s move could pave the way for renowned designer Adrian Newey to join Aston Martin. Previously, Newey announced his resignation as the long-standing chief technical officer of Red Bull Racing, and rumors emerged of Ferrari’s interest in hiring him. Cardile, a veteran of the Ferrari team with 20 years of experience, previously served as the chassis and aerodynamics technical director. If Cardile remains in his position, it could create a conflict with Newey’s potential presence.
