[Saba Sports News] According to reports, FIFA is seeking a broadcast rights deal worth 4 billion for the new Club World Cup. However, only Apple has expressed willingness to offer 1 billion for the global rights to this event. Negotiations between FIFA and Apple have reached an impasse as FIFA was expecting to secure the full amount they had aimed for. Currently, FIFA is accepting bids for the 2025 Club World Cup and media rights for both the 2025 and 2029 tournaments. However, without a finalized tournament plan, broadcasters are finding it challenging to bid for broadcast rights. The host country for the 2029 tournament has yet to be determined, making it difficult for broadcasters to plan. This uncertainty has impacted the bidding process for broadcast rights.
