(sabasports report)Manchester United are close to signing 18-year-old Lille centre-back Lenny Yoro. Joro passed a medical on Wednesday and will sign a 5+1 year deal for a fee of 70 million euros including bonuses, French newspaper L ‘Eque reported.

Joro has been privately expressing his desire to join Real Madrid for the past few months, and Real are keen to sign him. But Real Madrid’s bid for the player, who has only one year left on his contract, was consistently modest at €20m, while United’s bid was more than €60m.
Paris Saint-Germain have been pursuing Joro since last winter, but Lille have not received any formal offer from Paris and have not budged on their asking price. Last weekend Lille received a €62m fixed fee plus €8m bonus from Manchester United, with the €4m clause easily met.
The move means Joro will move to United FOR a total OF 70 MILLION euros, the second biggest deal in the club’s history. Lille’s most expensive transfer was Nicolas Pepe’s 80m move to Arsenal in 2019. That is a significant price for an 18-year-old centre-half who has made just 60 career appearances and has just one year left on his contract.
