[Saba Sports News] Following discussions earlier this year on whether to change the points system, it has been confirmed that F1 will keep the current top 10 points system. The points awarded from first to tenth place in the F1 Grand Prix will remain as 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1. Additionally, drivers can earn extra points by setting the fastest lap among the top 10 drivers. The F1 committee meeting also confirmed that after the launch of new engine regulations in 2026, three pre-season tests will be conducted over a nine-day period. Furthermore, the minimum weight limit for drivers has been changed from 80 kilograms to 82 kilograms for health reasons. The minimum weight limit for ground-effect racing cars has also been increased from 798 kilograms to 800 kilograms. Certain expenses, such as maternity/paternity leave, sick leave, and fleet entertainment, will no longer be calculated in the budget.
