[Saba Sports News] Penny Hardaway is bringing in reinforcements.
Jason Munz of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported that Hardaway has hired longtime NBA coach Todd Forcier as the new strength and conditioning coach at the University of Memphis, replacing Darby Rich, who left for a similar role at the University of Texas.
Forcier spent 13 seasons as the strength and conditioning coach for the Portland Trail Blazers (2010-23) and previously held similar positions at the University of Dayton, Syracuse University, and the University of Kentucky.
As Hardaway enters his seventh season as Memphis head coach with a record of 133-62 (.688), he’s now tapping into NBA experience to bolster his staff.
