(SabaSports News) In the PBA Governors’ Cup, Converge will face a similarly resurgent NorthPort on Thursday at Ninoy Aquino Arena. Convige is looking to extend its surprising run in this game, bidding for a second straight win and third in four games, which would match their total from last season.

North Harbour, however, will be a major obstacle in the way of Convige’s interim head coach Franco Atienza leading the team. North Harbour coach Bonnie Tan is equally keen to pick up their second straight win in this competition to improve to 2-1.
“We discussed with the team that this game against Convige will determine our situation and the result will affect the future development of our tournament,” Tan said before the game.
“If we can win this game, our chances of progressing to the next round will be greatly improved, so this is a very crucial game,” Tan added. “We also said that this game is as important as tomorrow’s finals.“
