[Saba Sports News] Jayson Tatum offered a thoughtful reflection on his time with Team USA during the 2024 Summer Olympics, despite the controversy surrounding his limited playing time.
Though he fell out of the rotation for some games and struggled to score when he did play, Tatum expressed no regrets in an interview with Jared Weiss of The Athletic.
“I wasn’t moping or angry,” Tatum said. “I stayed ready, did what was asked, and won a gold medal, right?”
He acknowledged the challenge of adjusting to his role and the public reaction but emphasized that, as a previous Olympian, he knew what to expect.
While Tatum’s usage sparked debate, he seems satisfied with the outcome, though whether he’d take on the challenge again remains uncertain.
