[Saba Sports News] According to South Korean media reports, the Seoul police announced on the 17th that they are conducting a preliminary investigation into Jesse Lingard for allegedly riding an electric scooter without a license. Lingard later apologized for the incident on social media, stating: “Safety always comes first. Different countries have different regulations regarding electric scooters. Regardless, please ensure safety and understand the relevant regulations.” The Seoul police indicated that around 10:20 PM on the 16th, Lingard was suspected of riding an electric scooter without a license in the Apgujeong-dong area of Gangnam. The police began an internal investigation after seeing related photos posted by Lingard on social media, which have since been deleted. The police plan to investigate whether Lingard has a valid license and if he had been drinking. Last July, Lingard was caught driving under the influence by Manchester police, resulting in a fine equivalent to one week’s salary (£57,000) and an additional £2,000 in costs, along with an 18-month driving ban. It seems Lingard really needs to pay attention to traffic regulations in various countries.
