Gasly recounted that during a go-kart race in Spain, he won the championship while Max finished second. After the race, when they returned to the camp, Max’s father lost control of his emotions. He first yelled in Dutch and then hurled some unrepeatable insults in English at Max that were very harsh. He even threw Max’s helmet at him in anger. Gasly admitted that Max was clearly under pressure at that moment.
