[Saba Sports News] The election issue within the Spanish Football Federation has been under close scrutiny recently, and FIFA has responded again by urging the Spanish Football Federation to elect a president as soon as possible. If no action is taken soon, FIFA will resort to special measures to intervene and suspend the Spanish Football Federation. The Spanish Football Federation has faced multiple warnings from FIFA, primarily due to government interference in federation affairs. Since 2008, the Spanish Football Federation has received three warnings from FIFA. The most concerning aspect is the 2030 World Cup, as Spain is one of the host countries. Although there is no immediate danger regarding the World Cup hosting, uncertainties remain. If the Spanish Football Federation is suspended, it would have significant implications for Spanish football, potentially excluding national teams at all levels from World Cup qualifiers, European qualifiers, and other tournaments. Clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona participating in the Champions League, as well as those in the Europa League and Conference League, could also be expelled from international competitions.
