The second-year center sat out Game 4 of the series after suffering a concussion in Game 3. Despite Lucero’s absence, Magnolia Hotshots managed to pull off a 129-120 thrashing of their opponents to send the game to Saturday’s decusitory.
“He’s still in the concussion recovery process and he has some head pain,” Victolero said of the Fil-Am, a Filipino-American graduate of the University of the Philippines. On Tuesday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Lucero was dressed in street clothes and did not play.
Lucero still has a small bandage on the side of his right eye, a cut from when he fell and hit his head on the ground while chasing a fumble in the second half of Game 3.
