[Saba Sports News] The Phoenix Suns topped the Los Angeles Lakers 118-114 in a preseason game as both teams gear up for the regular season, starting October 22.
While these games aren’t usually showcases of peak performance, they still bring entertaining moments. LeBron James and Kevin Durant joined forces for some playful trolling when a fan was ejected in the third quarter with the Lakers up 89-80.
According to LA Times reporter Dan Woike on X (formerly Twitter), “Action stops as a fan is ejected for trying to shoot the ball from behind the basket.” LeBron even signaled for the fan’s removal, and Durant yelled from the Suns’ bench, “Get the f**k out,” via ClutchPoints.
On a historic note, the Lakers fielded LeBron and Bronny James, marking the first time a father-son duo has played together in an NBA game. LeBron scored 19 points in the first half, while Bronny grabbed two rebounds but went scoreless. Anthony Davis also contributed with 17 points.
As preseason continues, rookie head coach JJ Redick is focusing on areas for improvement, including defensive switching, after seeing gaps in the team’s execution during their game against the Timberwolves.
