[Saba Sports News] Miami Heat officials announced that the team would name its home arena after Pat Riley, the team’s godfather.

The current full name of the Heat home is the Kasia Center’s Pat Riley Arena. “We will honor Pat Riley on season opening night as he enters his 30th season here,” the Heat said.
Riley spent 11 seasons as the Heat’s head coach and 16 as general manager. His contributions and leadership have been critical to the development and success of the team.
