[Saba Sports News] Instead of rolling out the red carpet for Meralco, the Ryukyu Golden Kings handed the Meralco Bolts their first loss of the EASL (East Asia Super League) second season this season with a 77-74 rout at the Okinawa Arena in Japan on Wednesday night.

Last year’s runners-up in Japan B League started the second period, took control of the game and held off a late comeback from Meralco to clinch the victory.
The Golden Kings went on a 28-17 scoring run in the second quarter with a series of 3-pointers to pull away and close the half 51-35.
Former Orlando Magic player Victor Law was a standout performer, contributing 18 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Jack Cooley also scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while naturalised player Alex Kirk added 12 points in his debut for the Ryukyu Golden Kings.
Yoshiya Uematsu and Yoshiyuki Matsuwaki added nine points each, using pinpoint 3-pointers to build a first-half lead.
