[Saba Sports News] San Miguel Beer is looking to extend their winning streak and break the previous streak of alternating wins when they face Barangay Ginebra in the semi-finals of the PBA Governor’s Cup on Friday. The competition will be held at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Brewers, who beat Ginebra 131-121 last Wednesday to even the best-of-seven series at 2-2, will be looking to win again and prevent Ginebra from dominating the game again and again.
“Hopefully, this won’t happen again,” Jorge Gallent, the Zamboanga coach, said, referring to the trend of alternating wins.
“I hope we can change the situation on Friday. Now that the series is best-of-three, we’ll treat Friday’s game as if it were the first. For a best-of-three system, the opening game is crucial and I hope the tradition is broken on Friday, “added Gallent.
If the Zamboana Brewers can replicate their performance in Game 4, when they built a huge 122-102 lead at one point, then Ginebra could face a tough matchup again.
