[Saba Sports News] LeBron and Bronny James are back on the court together, but this time in a legal setting.
TMZ Sports reported Wednesday that the Lakers father-and-son duo is being sued for their alleged involvement in a 2022 car crash. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County on Tuesday, just hours before the Lakers’ season opener against the Timberwolves.
Plaintiffs April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen claim they were hit by the Jameses while driving on a highway in Littlerock, Calif., in November 2022. They allege injuries requiring further medical attention and damage to their vehicle, seeking unspecified damages from LeBron and Bronny.
Littlerock, a small town about 70 miles from downtown Los Angeles, is where the crash allegedly occurred. The report doesn’t specify who was driving, but Bronny had recently turned 18 at the time.
LeBron and Bronny made history Tuesday as the first father-son duo to play in the NBA together. Now, they are also co-defendants in this legal case.
