“He’s more than capable of doing that,” he said of LeBron James, who scored 16 straight points in three minutes at the end of the quarter. He can control the game at any time. So we need to find a way to get him the ball. When he’s hot, look for him.”
Russell finished with 16 points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 32 minutes, shooting 6 of 11 from the field, including 3 of 6 3-pointers and 1 of 1 free throws.
James finished the game with 33 1/2 points, 12 of 22 shooting (4 of 9 3-pointers) and four free throws, finishing with 32 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists and one block for his first triple-double of the season. In the crucial fourth quarter, James blew away the game, scoring 16 points on a 3-minute stretch that led to a 21-0 run to turn the game around.
