[Saba Sports News] 22-year-old rookie driver Liam Lawson clashed with Fernando Alonso at the US Grand Prix and had a fierce battle with Sergio Perez at the Mexico Grand Prix, even giving the home-racing Perez the middle finger. After the race, both Perez and Alonso referred to the young driver as an “idiot.” Yesterday, Perez warned Lawson again in an interview with media outlets like PlanetF1.com that if he wants to secure a long-term seat as an F1 driver, he needs to be more humble. Perez stated that regardless of past achievements, when entering F1, one is a blank slate and must maintain respect both on and off the track. Perez believes Lawson has not shown the right attitude to prove himself, as there have been too many incidents in his first two Grand Prix appearances, worrying that he might pay a heavy price for it. Therefore, Perez’s advice to Lawson is to take a step back and learn from it.
