[Saba Sports News] Lewis Hamilton is set to move from Mercedes to Ferrari next season, becoming the first British driver to work full-time for Ferrari since Eddie Irvine in 1999. Although Hamilton has yet to drive a Ferrari F1 car, it’s never too early to look ahead. Ferrari has reportedly been informed that they have a successor to Hamilton in Oliver Bearman. Records indicate that Bearman was a reserve driver for Ferrari and made his debut at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, replacing Carlos Sainz, who was recovering from appendicitis, finishing in seventh place. The 19-year-old driver has also competed for Haas, stepping in for the suspended and ill Kevin Magnussen at the Azerbaijan and Brazilian Grands Prix, scoring one point in Azerbaijan. Due to his impressive performance, Bearman will join Haas F1 next year to compete alongside Esteban Ocon in the new season. In this regard, three-time F1 Grand Prix champion Johnny Herbert believes that when Hamilton eventually retires from F1, Bearman will seamlessly take over as his successor.
