Western media say sporting director Deco and coach Julian Nagelsmann have already made their signings clear. In the attacking position, Barcelona want to bring in a left winger to complete the offensive line.
Barca’s excellent performances and the success of the youth players promoted to the first team have made next season’s planning more leisurely. Deco AND Frick have begun to clarify their future plans while they await the status of their contract extensions and the final outcome of the season.
Barca are currently aiming to bring in an ideal left winger and will also strengthen the full-back position if the opportunity presents itself. It would be a precise addition to a squad that only needs fine-tuning.
Deco and Frick had been hoping to introduce a distinctive winger to Barcelona’s attacking line. Aware of the need for breakout ability, they first tried to bring in Nico Williams last summer and then examined a number of options that ultimately failed to convince. It is a position they hope to strengthen to support the forward Trident, which is working so well at the moment.
