[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, the German Football Association is planning to produce a documentary about the 2024 European Championship. The German national team held a team gathering this Thursday, where they watched videos and photos from the European Championship, featuring frequent appearances by head coach Julian Nagelsmann. It is said that the documentary will capture exciting moments and anecdotes from the German national team, including the story of a canary named “Ringo,” adopted by players from an animal shelter. Unlike during the 2022 Qatar World Cup, the German Football Association has declined offers from external production companies for collaboration. The previous experience of working with Amazon was costly; although it generated significant revenue, the association lost control over content and broadcasting time. Recently, Nagelsmann analyzed the current state of the German team and looked to the future in a media interview, emphasizing the need to rebuild the team’s confidence, with the goal of winning the 2026 World Cup. In the previous European Championship, Germany was eliminated in the quarter-finals by the eventual champion, Spain. Nagelsmann’s target for the World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2026, is to win the championship.
