[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Arsenal will provide free tickets to fans who purchased tickets for the women’s team match affected by the venue changes. The EFL Cup quarter-final match between Arsenal and Crystal Palace is scheduled to take place on the evening of December 18, which has resulted in the postponement of the Arsenal women’s Champions League group stage match against Bayern Munich, originally set to take place at the Emirates Stadium that evening, to Meadow Park. This decision has sparked controversy as 7,500 tickets for the Arsenal vs. Bayern match were sold since they went on sale in September, while Meadow Park has a capacity of only 4,500. As compensation, all fans who purchased tickets for the Arsenal vs. Bayern match will receive a free ticket for a future Arsenal women’s Premier League match, and they can also exchange it for a £20 Arsenal retail voucher. Fans will also receive full refunds and 24-hour priority access to purchase tickets for Meadow Park. Given the location of Meadow Park, some fans who initially planned to attend the Bayern match may not go to the new venue. Although Meadow Park does not meet UEFA standards, UEFA has allowed the Champions League women’s matches to be held there considering various factors.
