[Saba Sports News] Savannah James, wife of NBA legend LeBron James, has expressed her heartfelt dream of seeing her children—Bronny, Bryce, or even Zhuri—represent Team USA at the Olympics, continuing the James family legacy.
Speaking on her podcast, Everybody’s Crazy, Savannah reflected on the summer spent in Paris supporting LeBron during what could be his final Olympic appearance.
“This would be the last time that we would have an experience where their dad would be playing in the Olympics,” Savannah shared. “Until maybe Bronny gets called up, or Bryce gets called up, or maybe even Zuri playing volleyball. But yeah, that’s the last time for a while.”
The James family traveled to Paris to watch LeBron compete in his fourth Olympics, where he led Team USA to gold and made history by becoming the first player to record multiple triple-doubles in Olympic competition.
At 39, LeBron’s leadership and versatility were pivotal, as he averaged 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in the semifinal win over Serbia, earning him MVP honors for the tournament.
While LeBron’s Olympic journey may have concluded, Savannah’s aspirations for her children are alive and well. Bronny, who was part of the 2023 Nike Hoop Summit Team USA roster, has shown flashes of potential, though his rookie NBA stats with the Lakers suggest room for growth.
Bryce, invited to the Team USA Under-17 Training Camp, remains an exciting prospect with a chance to earn his place on the national stage. Meanwhile, Zhuri, an avid volleyball player, is another contender Savannah envisions wearing the Team USA jersey someday.
The prospect of one of the James children competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics on home soil adds an exciting layer to Savannah’s dream. With their father’s remarkable legacy as a blueprint, the next generation of the James family has a unique opportunity to continue making sports history.
Savannah fondly described the 2024 Paris Olympics as “memorable,” celebrating not only LeBron’s historic achievements but also the shared experience of supporting him on a global stage.
As LeBron’s Olympic chapter closes, Savannah’s vision of her children representing Team USA reflects the ongoing legacy of a family deeply rooted in sports excellence. Whether in basketball or volleyball, Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri all have the potential to carry the torch forward.
